Fantastic Award for a truly great UGA alumnus, competitor and philanthropist.
May all men take to heart Thomas's words and step up in 2015. Dare to give. Dare to be great. Help someone else. We all may not get an award, but the rewards are many.
Walter Payton Award
May God bless Thomas and Kelly for all they do.

Thomas Davis Rehabs Knee, Hearts
Things don't look good right now for Thomas Davis to stay in the NFL. With three serious knee injuries, his future football prospects are not bright. But Davis, a former safety with UGA, rehabs as hard as he used to hit.
In the meantime, the guy is a winner off the field. Great article.

Thomas Davis Discusses Carolina Panthers, Defending Dreams Foundation
Thomas Davis is still involved. Glad to see it. He's in the midst of rehabbing from his second major knee surgery, but he's in good spirits all the while. He's optimistic-- in fact, way more than I am, that he will be able to return and play the game at a high level.
Davis is also optimistic about the Carolina Panthers this year. We'll see.
Great interview and information about his Defending Dreams foundation.

Thomas Davis Looking to Recover Quickly
If anyone can do it, he can.
That's my take on whether Thomas Davis can get back on the field this year. Davis suffered his second ACL tear recently, and the challenge will be to get the surgery and rehab done, all the while balancing his desire to get back on the field with the need to make sure the knee is strong enough to handle the rigors of NFL play.
Hoping the best for him.

Thomas Davis Out
Thomas Davis had a really good pre-season. He was faster, stronger, and more prepared for his role as the weakside linebacker for the Carolina Panthers. He out for a brief time with an injury, but all things were looking good for Davis to have a dominant season when the Panthers began the year.
It wasn't to be.
Thomas suffered a torn ACL in the game against New Orleans, and he will be out for the rest of the year.

Falcs play Carolina-- Davis Poised for Big Game
Thomas Davis had a huge game in the Carolina Panthers' season operner against Philadelphia. He recorded a career-high 18 tackles.
It can be argued that he had so many tackles because Carolina's defense was on the field so much. Panthers QB Jake Delhomme committed 5 turnovers, if I remember correctly.
The fact of the matter is that Davis is a stud. He's stronger and faster than he has ever been, and with the addition of a defense that favors his position-- the "Tampa 2," Davis will continue to have big games.
Got to root for the Falcons this weekend, but I'm still glad to see Davis doing well.

Thomas Davis Itching to Get Back on the Field
Thomas Davis twisted his knee during the very first part of training camp. He's been rehabbing, working his way back into playing condition ever since.
He probably won't play in the next preseason game, but he hopes to be back by the opener against Philadelphia.

Q&A with Thomas Davis
Great piece from the Sporting News. Davis thinks that UGA could be the sleeper in the SEC, with guys like Joe Cox, Richard Samuel and Caleb King getting a chance to show what they can do.
Davis also discusses his transition from safety to linebacker, his relationship with Rennie Curran, and other topics.

Classic End in Pro Football Last Night
The Giants won 24 to 17 on a last-second interception and touchdown return.
I didn't watch the whole game. Caught just the last few minutes, but it's good to have football on t.v. again.
Carolina was without former UGA safety Thomas Davis. Davis plays weakside linebacker for the Panthers, and he has been hobbled by a knee injury.
Davis started to make the kinds of plays last year that had been expected of him. He ran a 4.2 forty yard dash during camp, so he is faster than he has ever been. If he can get back on the field early enough this season, he may have a breakout year.
Welcome back, football.
