25 Amazing Facts about Herschel

Good format for the article about Herschel Walker. Every now and then it's good to be reminded about what an incredible athlete Walker was and is, and how great it was that he suited up in the Red and Black.

Mike Mercer Playing in Halifax

He scored 18 points in his first official outing for the Halifax Rainmen of the Premier Basketball League.

Halifax beat the Vermont Frost Heaves by a score of 109 to 99.

Has to be colder up in Canada than in Athens or Tampa, where he played for USF. Mercer is probably fine with the environment, while he tries to work his way to the NBA. He'll have to avoid the serious knee injuries and other issues that slowed his college career.

Wolves Waive Gaines

Was a tough fit for Yada. The Timberwolves went from having two point guards to having too many. Happened in a period of just a few weeks, as players returned from injury.

Maybe Sundiata can find a better fit elsewhere. I'd love to see him in a Hawks uniform, because Atlanta doesn't have a real good defender at the point guard position.

20-20 Vision

Very impressive outings by Tony Parker.

When's the last time a big man averaged 20 points and 20 rebounds?

Anybody know whether UGA has a shot at inking Parker?

Nick Marshall ready for Hoops

Saw this article after the holidays, and I wanted to add it to the resources on the Blog.

Marshall is a stud, for sure, so I'll try to post results from his games from time to time.
