Double amputee and ironman. Now there's an oxymoron.
The notion of a double amputee competing at the highest levels in the sports world sounds totally absurd. If I had no legs, I think I would do well just to get up in the morning and make coffee.
But here we have it. UGA grad Scott Rigsby, a man in his late thirties, swam over 2 miles, biked 112, and ran a marathon, all in under 17 hours.
Ironman
Amazing. I think the lesson for me is to keep running. Never give up.
What do you think?
