Let Me Upgrade Ya

Ben Watson is in a battle to keep his job with the New England Patriots.

Management has brought in a couple of players at Watson's position, and Ben is facing a challenge. His production has dropped off over the last couple of years. Now, the main reason for fewer catches is that the Patriots aren't throwing the ball his way. Nonetheless, it's plain to see that the team is thinking of some sort of change.

+1 for the title.

And didn't Watson have several TD catches last year. With the ball spread to Moss, Welker, the RBs and others, I'm not sure what the film says, but with the other options I wouldn't be that upset at BW not catching a lot of balls.

Thanks for the comment, Mr. Sanchez.

I'm biased in favor of Watson, of course. Good team guy. I don't watch a whole lot of the Pats, but I seem to remember Watson just crushing some guys as a blocker.

Looks like he didn't have a catch in last night's game.

If you don't throw the ball his way, then it's hard to put up the kinds of numbers that fans like to see. Maybe the coaches want him to run routes better or something, but I think he could still make the plays if they put plays for him in the script.

As for the title of my post, Beyonce's Direct TV commercial was the first thing I thought of when I read the article.
