Leonard Pope Gives Back

Sounds like a great occasion.

I know it's hard to get excited about getting moving just as summer officially starts-- especially when the thermostat has already been registering in the 90 degree range this June. But if Pope can get the kids interested in being fit, whether that's through walking, working out at a fitness center, riding a bike, or other activity, he will have helped out a great deal.

Good to see the Dawgs go back home when they can to lend a helping hand.

Leonard Pope, former tight end at Georgia, was cut just before the NFL season got underway. He had been with the Arizona Cardinals for the past three years.

He has just been signed by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Leonard Pope locked in battle

Pope is listed as the #1 tight end on the depth chart, but his position is anything but secure. The Cardinals have 5 tight ends on the roster, and any one of them could end up starting.

Pope has ability and is a big target for QB's Warner and Leinart, but he has been injured a good bit, and he might not have the opportunity to show that he is fully recovered.

Pope
